The new Airbus UpNext demonstrator will pave the way to smart automations capabilities by integration of new innovative bricks including computer vision and data fusion. The goal is to help the pilot and facilitate its mission. 


The new Airbus UpNext OptiMate demonstrator team is looking for a Database / Collaborative Application Developer to Implement and manage the underlying Database to a Collaborative Application connecting multiple actors from the Aerospace Industry.

This position comes with a CDI-C contract for 3 years, the timeline of the demonstrator.

Your missions

You will be responsible for the development of a database supporting a collaborative application between multiple actors of the aerospace industry. You will contribute to the overall goal of connecting and enabling interactions between multiple agents.

This database will enable the access, update and maintenance of heterogeneous geo-referenced data, including the handling of uncertainty and obsolescence.

Your role will be to identify, design and implement the best hardware and software solutions to host this database, in regards to the ecosystem and Collaborative Application constraints.

Additionally, you will have to work closely with several pluridisciplinary teams to connect the functions of the collaborative applications to this database.

As a Database / Collaborative Application Developer you will be required to:

Discuss and interact with the ecosystem to identify the best middleware options.

Design and Develop the software tools to access, manage and update a Database.

Assist the team in plugging multiple softwares to said database.

What you bring:

Master degree in Computer Science or Equivalent

Experience in conceiving and developing databases and related softwares

An experience in Collaborative Applications would be a plus

Strong developers skills, C, C++, Python

Passion about exploring new areas, working on equations and quickly implementing innovative ideas and concepts

Critical thinker attitude that takes on big challenges to create innovative solutions. You are an enterprising person, flexible and capable of adapting to changing environments

Ability to self-manage and yet be a team-player

Impatience with a burning desire to execute rapidly, without compromising neither safety nor ethics nor compliance

Values of transparency, courage, humility, empathy and care for others

Hands-on person, solution oriented and communicative
