Aeronautical Engineers (AEI) signed a conversion contract with CargoAir for two 737-800SF aircraft.
AEI specifies that the Bulgarian cargo airline initially signed agreements with Boeing for the delivery of two 737-800BCFs but that it had finally decided to cancel them (reason cited were related to AEI's responsiveness, slot flexibility, ease of doing business and a better-priced option).
CargoAir is already an AEI customer, with three 737-300SFs and seven B737-400SFs in the fleet (an 8th being converted).
CargoAir's recently acquired Boeing 737-800 (MSN 30664) is scheduled to commence modification next January at AEI's authorized Conversion Center, Commercial Jet, in Dothan (Alabama).
