Sabena technics and Singapore Component Solutions (SCS) will repair and upgrade Honeywell's Air Cycle Machine for the ATR 42/72 family.
Honeywell Aerospace has appointed Sabena technics and Singapore Component Solutions (SCS), the Singaporean joint venture between Sabena technics and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) located in Seletar, as Global Channel Partners for its Air Cycle Machine (ACM) on board ATR turboprop regional aircraft.
The two MRO companies will thus be able to provide repair and upgrades of this essential component dedicated to cabin air flow and passenger thermal comfort.
Honeywell specifies that its new Air Cycle Machine has an estimated 30% reliability improvement, which translates into reduced operating costs through fuel efficiencies, avoidance of flight route restrictions and incidental costs from customer dissatisfaction, while also improving the air flow in the cabin and in the cockpit.
Sabena technics was already a partner of the North American OEM, with licensing agreements for mechanical and avionics component repairs.
