Hong Kong's MRO group HAECO (Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited) has just acquired the Texan company Jet Engine Solutions (JES) in order to develop its Global Engine Support network.
Based in Dallas, between Fort Worth and Love Field airports, JES specialises in "quick-turn" repairs and lease returns for commercial aircraft engines. Its engine shop is FAA and EASA-approved and has servicing and repair capabilities for a very wide range of engines produced by GE, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, CFM International and IAE.
The JES facility can work on 14 engines at the same time, including three very large engines (GE90, GEnx, Trent 800, etc.).
HAECO's Global Engine Support activity is also announcing the opening of a new Part 145-approved facilities near Amsterdam in the Netherlands, without providing any more details.
Up to now, HAECO's engine maintenance capacities had been made up of its Hong Kong (HAESL) centre, which specialises in Rolls-Royce engines, and Xiamen (TEXL) centre, which specialises in GE90-110/115Bs.
