Training starts for the ALAT

The first year of future ALAT mechanics training on its "BAC pro aero" programme at the French army's Technical training centre in Bourges started back at school in September. The 21 students will follow a three-year programme which will combine academic, technical and military training to teach them aviation maintenance skills and enable them to enlist as non-commissioned officers when their training is complete.

STANDARDAERO has acquired SAFE AVIATION SOLUTIONS (including Safe Fuel, Accel and B&E ACR), formerly the MRO services subsidiary of the B&E Group. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The company operates from two primary locations in South Florida, with nearly 56,000 square feet of operations and approximately 120 employees.

AAR has been selected as the main distributor of LEACH INTERNATIONAL Corporation's (Esterline) products for OEMs, commercial airlines and MRO providers, as well as to the military aftermarket, including the U.S. government. Leach products, such as relays, switches, relay panels and power distribution units, are already available for order on AAR's PAARTS Store.

SR TECHNICS has appointed JEAN-MARC LENZ as new Chief Executive Officer effective from September 6. Jean-Marc succeeds Frank Walschot, who has decided to take up a new opportunity in the aviation industry. JEAN-MARC LENZ has more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager at SR TECHNICS. Frank Walschot will remain available until the end of November to support the transition.

JORAMCO has obtained EASA Part 145 approval for Boeing 777. This is the fourth EASA approval obtained by the Amman-based MRO since its acquisition by DUBAI AEROSPACE ENTERPRISE (DAE), following earlier EASA approvals for Boeing 737 MAX, Airbus A320neo and Boeing 787.

LI XIN has been appointed as Deputy General Manager and Vice Party Secretary of Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co (GAMECO). He will succeed Li Rong following his retirement at the end of August. LI XIN has been working for GAMECO since 1994, holding different director positions in his career.
