The world's most powerful rocket, SpaceX's Falcon Heavy, blasted off Tuesday on its highly anticipated maiden test flight, carrying CEO Elon Musk's cherry red Tesla roadster toward an orbit near Mars.Screams and cheers erupted at Cape Canaveral, Florida as the massive rocket fired its 27 engines and rumbled into the blue sky over the same NASA launchpad that served as a base for the US missions to Moon four decades ago."Wow, did you guys see that? This Integrated Component Services (ICS) contract, effective since November 1, will be provided by the SR TECHNICS Center of Excellence for component maintenance in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
09 DEC 2019 PRATT & WHITNEY announced a USD 30 million investment in its engine services facility in Bridgeport, West Virginia for the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of PW800 engines. Specifically, the site will service the market leading PW814GA and PW815GA engines that power the Gulfstream G500 and G600 aircraft, respectively, with the capacity to expand its capabilities to other PW800 engine models in the future.
02 DEC 2019 Prague-based AVIA PRIME Group will acquire a 99.38% stake in JAT TEHNIKA from the Serbian Government, becoming one of the key MRO players in Eastern Europe. AVIA PRIME already owns two MRO companies: Linetech S.A. (Poland) and Adria Tehnika (Slovenia), performing over 250 heavy maintenance checks in its facilities. With this new aquisition, AVIA PRIME will align 34 aircraft maintenance lines.
28 NOV 2019 KLM UK ENGINEERING has signed a long-term base maintenance contract with BA CITYFLYER. The AFI KLM E&M subsidiary will provide base maintenance support for the regional airline's Embraer fleet at its Norwich facility. BA CITYFLYER currently operate a fleet of 24 aircraft comprising 76-seat Embraer 170s and 98-seat Embraer 190SR' following recent fleet expansion.
