Following the decision of AAR CEO David P. Storch to retire after 39 years with the US MRO company, current President and Chief Operating Officer John M. Holmes will succeed him on June 1.
AAR stated that David P. Storch will continue to lead the board as a non-executive Chairman, participating in "business strategy, talent development and industry relations".
John Holmes joined AAR as s Director of Mergers and Acquisitions in 2001, and became General Manager of the Parts Trading business in 2003. He also held responsibilities in other AAR departments, that comprise Aviation Services - Integrated Supply Chain, OEM Aftermarket Solutions, Intelligent Solutions and MRO Services, before taking the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of AAR last June.
