| (MRO Europe 2017) Airbus took advantage of the 2017 MRO Europe exhibition in London to announce that the FOMAX solution (flight operations and maintenance exchanger) provided by Rockwell Collins would enable 24 000 parameters to be collected for each A320 flight (compared with only 400 at the moment without this equipment) and 40 000 for each A330 flight (compared with 1500 at the moment without this equipment). To compare, a new generation aircraft like the A350 can provide up to 400 000 parameters. FOMAX enables operators to collect their planes' data automatically, whether during flight (Satcom) or on the ground (4G and Wi-Fi network). FOMAX solution is an integral part of Airbus's Skywise solution. |
