SIMMAD has once again extended the seven-year MRO contract for the five DHC-6-300 Twin Otter operated by the French Air Force with Engie Ineo.
The previous support contract was awarded in 2012. Ineo Defense will be in charge of the maintenance of the airframe, as well as engines, propellers and associated equipment.
French Air Force's Twin Otters are operated by transport squadron 3/61 "Poitou" (part of the special forces) and are mainly deployed for personnel or equipment transport missions, but also parachute drops and intelligence missions.
