Cargolux has just signed a 10-year contract with Lufthansa Technik for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of thrust reversers for its fleet of Boeing 747-8 aircraft (GEnx-2B).
The all-cargo airline based in Luxembourg is currently operating with 14 Boeing 747-8 freighter aircraft, in addition of its twelve 747-400 freighters.
The wholly owned MRO subsidiary of Lufthansa Group will also provide support in case of non-scheduled events and worldwide on-site assistance. An adequate pool of spares will be established and maintained, enabling Cargolux to make use of spare thrust reversers under a loan and/or exchange program if required.
