Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Senior Export Control Investigator (M/F) based in Toulouse, France.
The Opportunity - A vacancy for an Export Control Investigator (m/f) has arisen within the Airbus Ethics & Compliance Risk, Investigations and Voluntary Disclosures team (LOAI). The LOAI team is based in Airbus headquarters located in Toulouse (France). This position will be based either in Toulouse or in one of Airbus sites in the company's four founding countries (France, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain). Non-French citizens will need to meet the legal requirements to work in France.
The Purpose - In the context of the current effort to further implement Export Control regulations, there is a need to reinforce Airbus' ability to investigate any allegation of potential Export Control violations and, if needed, prepare the required disclosures to the relevant export authorities (especially the U.S. DDTC and BIS). The Export Control Investigations team within the LOAI team is responsible for overseeing this process at Group level. LOAI's investigations will cover company-wide operations, products and programs (commercial and military aircraft as well as space), while applying their Export Control expertise. Airbus relies on a talented and diverse network of Export Control professionals in all three Divisions across the regions who will also support the relevant investigations.

?Your challenges:
Organize and coordinate Export Control investigations with the local Export Control teams, the Export Control Leadership Team, the Compliance investigation teams when needed and other relevant functions such as Sales, Customer Services, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics and HR. This includes planning and conducting thorough investigations of export control allegations received, the implementation of immediate remedial measures, identifying the facts, breached regulations, root causes, and most appropriate corrective actions to address export control compliance gaps;
Work closely with the Risk team on Export Control risk assessment and the verification of the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
Manage outside legal counsel;
Draft disclosures to be filed to the relevant government authorities;
Draft internal reports and give presentations on relevant topics;
Work with divisions, regions and subsidiaries to ensure adherence to the Airbus policies related to Compliance and Export Control allegations, escalations, investigations and voluntary disclosure; and
Play a key role in developing and deploying best practices in the conduct of internal export control investigations, especially through training and awareness sessions within the Export Control teams and other Airbus functions.

Your boarding pass:
Educated to degree level in Law, Engineering or a related discipline.
At least 7 or 8 years of experience in U.S. Export Control regulations (ITAR and EAR) and ideally also in EU Export Control regulations. Experience in the aerospace industry will be highly valued.
Strong organizational and communication skills; sound business judgment; involves others appropriately in consultations and decisions.
Strong relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills.
High degree of credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust.
Excellent writing skills in English required to draft disclosures, reports and memos.
Languages: English (fluent); knowledge of French, German or Spanish is a plus
