IDAIR climbs onboard two new BBJ 787 |

IDAIR GmbH, the joint company founded by Lufthansa Technik and Panasonic Avionics in 2011 has just been awarded cabin fitting work for two Boeing 787 VIPs by a customer whose name has not been revealed. The work, which will be carried out in Hamburg, will involve installing a connectivity system, a complete IFE and a Cabin Management Systems.
The system to be installed will provide overhead HD displays up to 55 inches, in and at seat entertainment, overhead surround and in seat audio, control of electronically dimmable window shades, comprehensive control of dynamic lighting systems and much more. Private content can be also accessed and streamed to the system adding to a fantastic private rooms' ambiance.. IDAIR has already fitted out three BBJ 787.
It should be noted that IDAIR has also just modified the cabin of a BBJ at its Basel site, working closely with Boeing Business Jets and Aviation Consulting Group This plane, which is a Boeing Business Jets demonstrator, now has an IFE solution, the latest generation connectivity and a complete CMS that may be used in Wi-Fi via personal equipment running under iOS.
