EFW embarks on the Airbus DDMS program

Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) will be an early adopter of the Airbus Digital Design Manufacturing Services (DDMS) program. The digital continuity tools between the aircraft manufacturer and the aircraft maintenance and modification company will be used in the cabin domain in particular, from design to production.
"We are very happy to bring our experience into the pilot phase of this key project, especially in current times when aviation is profoundly changing and needs innovative solutions" said Andreas Sperl, the CEO of EFW.
EFW also reports that it has planned and built a new production facility in Saxony in record time, including digital production capabilities for lightweight components.
