Pratt & Whitney Canada add five new authorized centers, including two in Europe

Pratt & Whitney has added five new Designated Maintenance Facilities (DMFs) to its global support network to further expand its line maintenance capabilities for a number of its business aviation turbofan engines , its helicopter turboshaft engines and its general aviation turboprop engines.

These five new centers are located in North America, South America, Asia and for the first time in Europe with the selection of Rijnmond Air Services BV (RAS) in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Alidaunia SRL in Foggia (Italy). RAS will be able to work on the PT6A turboprop and on the PW500 engine and Alidaunia on the PT6B, PT6C, PT6T, PW200 and PW210 helicopter turbines.

The three other new DMFs selected by Pratt & Whitney are ALE Service Center S de RL de CV, San Nicolás Tolentino, Mexico (PT6A, PT6B, PT6C, PW200, PW300 and PW500 engines), Central Aerospace in Bogota, Colombia (PT6A, JT5D engines) and AVIC China Flying Dragon at Harbin, China (PT6A-135A, PT6A-27 engines).

"Today's announcement brings the number of Pratt & Whitney DMFs serving helicopters and the general and business aviation industries to 13, located in North and South America, Europe and Asia », vice-president, customer service, at Pratt & Whitney in a press release.

"DMFs are part of our broader efforts to ensure we provide the right engine maintenance solutions to meet our customers' needs in an efficient and timely manner while ensuring our high technical standards are met. Further, these DMFs help improve the availability of parts in the desired country and the rapid deployment of service" he added.

Pratt & Whitney Canada's support network now includes more than 40 authorized or directly-owned maintenance centers around the world, including its Customer Priority Centers (CFirst) in Montreal and Singapore. This network can also rely on its 7 parts distribution centers as well as on more than 100 field support representatives and mobile repair teams situated around the globe.
