Acropolis Aviation has received the very first Airbus ACJ320neo, following a 13 month-long cabin outfitting by AMAC Aerospace in Basel.
On 27th February, the British VVIP charter operator Acropolis Aviation received the very first ACJ320neo at Farnborough, the VVIP version of Airbus's re-engined single-aisle aircraft. The plane, which is registered G-KELT and powered by LEAP-1As (MSN 8403), had been in its completion phase for thirteen months at AMAC Aerospace in Basel, where it also received its final livery, as it had originally been painted in Airbus Corporate Jets colours. This first ACJ320neo had entered the Swiss MRO company's facilities in January 2019.
The new cabin was designed by Yves Pickardt of the Alberto Pinto studio. It can accommodate up to 19 passengers (with sleeping for 17) and has a private master bedroom leading to a luxury en-suite bathroom with a rectangular shower, the largest ever to be installed in an Airbus single-aisle aircraft according to the British operator.

The VVIP aircraft has also been kitted out with precious materials such as particularly-fine leather and noble wood veneers. It also has a full-sized kitchen galley for food preparation and an induction oven to prepare meals without any fumes or odours.
As for electronics, the aircraft is equipped with Collins Aerospace's "Venue" cabin management system (CMS), along with its "Stage" in-flight entertainment system, which enables passengers to watch hundreds of films and TV programmes on 19 individual iPads, as well as on four large TV screens distributed around the cabin (including the Airshow moving map features).
Collins Aerospace has also provided its "Viu LED" system for the cabin's ambient mood lighting. Of course, the Acropolis ACJ320neo is also equipped with a super-fast Wi-Fi system via a Ka band satellite connectivity.
Finally, to leave nothing out, remember that the Airbus ACJ320neo family has a cabin altitude reduced to 6400 feet on average, compared with 8000 feet for Airbus single-aisle aircraft cruising at their service ceiling. The new Acropolis aircraft has also been fitted with an air humidifier to increase passenger comfort on long flights (over 12 hours of autonomy).
The British operator has also announced that provisions were in place with Airbus Corporate Jets for a static presentation of the new aircraft during EBACE 2020 to be held in Geneva between the 26th and 28th of May. Acropolis was the launch customer for the ACJ320neo family during the 2015 edition of the show.
