The maintenance company AAR has just signed two contracts a few days apart. The first, which dates from 26th March, is the renewal of a long-term agreement with Pratt & Whitney for overall support to military APU for the United States and foreign governments. Under the contract, AAR will store and distribute APUs for UH-60s, H-53s, V-22s, F-16s, KC-135s and C-5s.
The second contract, which was signed on 3rd April with Honeywell, is a long-term agreement for the repair and supply of spare parts for the American equipment provider's components. AAR will be required to work on over 1 800 references in the New York and Amsterdam service centres and also to provide over 4000 different types of part. This relates to components in a wide range of systems: pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical generation on Airbus and Boeing, as well as on regional aircraft.
