Aircraft immobilised on the ground - more commonly referred to by the acronym AOG - are one of the main concerns for manufacturers. Gulfstream has therefore decided to open a dedicated unit at its Service centre in Savannah (Georgia) on 5th March. It will handle all cases listed as AOG to guarantee an adapted technical and logistical service, speed up return to service for the planes affected and prevent any reoccurrence.
The AOG unit has a 223 m² platform within the 63 000 m² of Gulfstream's Service centre. It will be working closely with representatives on detachment, FAST (Field and Airborne Support Teams) mobile support teams and approved service centres.
