Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen Expands Support for ARJ21, A320neo and A350

Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen has become the first COMAC-approved supplier of maintenance services in China to provide nacelle and component support on the ARJ21. This approval was issued following an audit conducted at its facilities in December.

Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen has already completed modifications to the fan coils and thrust reversers of the Chinese regional jet and is already licensed by Middle River Aircraft Systems (MRAS), a GE subsidiary, for nacelle repairs.

In addition, it has announced an extension of its business portfolio. It will strengthen its capabilities in the field of component repairs, composite parts (Airframe Related Components - ARC) and engine parts, while deploying its services in logistics. They were indeed extended at the end of 2017 to the A380 and A330 radomes, GEnx-2B fan cowls and PW4168 complete nacelle.

In 2018, those skills will be further expanded to A320neo nacelles and new A350 components (thrust reverser actuators, hydraulic pumps and batteries).

This year should also see an extension of the engine services with the introduction of a new capability on the PW1000 family.
