CFM International announced that Spring Airlines has signed a Rate per Flight Hour (RPFH) contract to service the 120 LEAP-1A engines that will power 60 A320neo and A321neo aircraft expected by the Chinese airline. This long-term contract runs for a period of 10 years.
The agreement was signed in conjunction with French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to China.
The engine support contract was revealed on January 9, at the same time as the finalization of the LEAP order announced at the last Paris Air Show in June. The total value of these agreements is estimated at USD 2.9 billion.
