Honeywell has just extended its Shanghai site's repair capabilities (Honeywell Avionics Shanghai). The American equipment provider indicates that TAT will be reduced by 60% for Chinese operators.
Honeywell Avionics Shanghai has also been entrusted with support for new products, such as the TCAS TPA100D and the IntuVue 3D RDR4000 weather radar, equipment which is already supplied to numerous aircraft in the region, in particular for Air China, China Eastern, 9Air (a subsidiary of Juneyao) and Chengdu Airlines for the weather radar.
Honeywell indicates that Chinese airlines will no longer need to transfer their aircraft to the United States or Singapore for repairs.
