Malaysia Airlines has extended its equipment support contract with AFI KLM E&M for its fleet of 737-800s. The agreement now includes a larger number of Part Numbers and covers a larger fleet, 54 aircraft compared with the initial 35, which is all of the Malaysian airline's single-aisle aircraft.
Malaysia Airlines has also decided to extend the duration of the contract over the years to come. The 737 CSP (Component Services Program) support programme is run by AFI KLM E&M et Boeing together.
Malaysia Airlines already has access to AFI KLM E&M's regional spare parts pool in Kuala Lumpur and the main pool in Amsterdam.
