The Canadian low-cost airline WestJet took the opportunity provided by the MRO Americas fair to sign an contract with Safran Landing Systems to equip its future Boeing 737 MAX fleet with carbon wheels and brakes.
The equipment will be produced and supported at the Safran Landing Systems site in Walton (Kentucky).
WestJet is due to receive 65 737 MAX (with an option for 15 now). The first plane is expected during the second half of 2017.
