Lufthansa Technik (LHT) is announcing that its Hamburg Engineering department is in the process of providing a huge cabin modification programme for Air Berlin's 33 Airbus A319s and A320s which have just joined the Eurowings fleet.
In particular, LHT is working on documenting the modifications related to the increase in the seat base, the adjustment corresponding to the level of the passenger seat overhead lights, the installation of new seat belts, the adaptation of the in-flight entertainment system and the installation of specific Eurowings decor for the different cabin elements.
The aircraft are due to meet the new standard by the end of April. The cabin modification work will be carried out by Eurowings's technical teams in Düsseldorf.
