AMAC Aerospace have announced that they have won a tender to perform a 12 years inspection on an Airbus A340-200 aircraft in conjunction with extensive cabin modifications.
The maintenance works, which are to be carried out in Basel,, will include the removal of all four CFM56 engines for pylon inspection.
Beside the heavy maintenance checks, the aircraft will undergo a cabin modification programme as well as a refurbishment programme of the cabin seats, furniture and the carpet using the "smart repair" technique.
The client has not been revealed.
