Iran Air took delivery today in Toulouse of its first Airbus A330, an A330-200.
This new aircraft is part of the major firm order placed by the Iranian flag carrier in December 2016 for 100 Airbus aircraft (46 single-aisle, 38 A330s and 16 A350s).
This A330 features a two class cabin layout with 32 seats in business class and 206 in economy. It was originally intended for Avianca Brasil. The new Iran Air wide-body is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700s. It now bears the EP-IJA registration number.
Iran Air took delivery in January of its first new aircraft since two decades, an Airbus A321 powered with CFM engines and equipped with Sharklets.
