Sabena Technics has unsurprisingly been selected by Dassault Aviation to perform the modification works on the French National Navy's four Falcon 50MS received between 2014 and 2016. These will be equipped with a drop hatch for a rescue canoe, in order to implement a small SAR chain. The works should start in 2018 and be completed by the end of 2019.
The four Falcon 50Bs originally operated by the ETEC were transferred to the 24F fleet and modified by Dassault Aviation and Sabena Technics to perform maritime surveillance missions, aerial SAR, anti-pollution and fisheries control missions.
The planes have notably been equipped with the Thales Group Ocean Master 100 radar, a satellite connection and a porthole for the aerial reconnaissance and lookout.
