Airbus Helicopters certifies Ixarys's TracingFlight solution

Ixarys isn't coming home empty-handed from the HAI Heli-Expo which was held two weeks ago in Anaheim (California). The French company which specialises in traceability software has seen its TracingFlight solution certified by Airbus Helicopters, which is a significant new step in its development in the aerospace sector. Ixarys has also recently created a dedicated subsidiary called Wypert.
"This is a major mark of trust from Airbus Helicopters. We have just taken the next step by joining forces with a major OEM", Stéphane Le Floch, the Director of Wypert, tells us from Anaheim. "We will now make it easier to share data with the Airbus Helicopters ecosystem, and this will make life much easier for operators", he says happily.
TracingFlight is available as three main software applications. TracingNav (airworthiness monitoring - CAMO), TracingLine (maintenance shop management) and TracingDocs (a digital safe for access to technical documentation).
TracingNav was rolled out as a dedicated helicopter version a few months ago, and it is this activity which has been rewarded by Airbus Helicopters, with the company being added to its network of maintenance information system (MIS) suppliers. The European helicopter manufacturer can then collect data from its machines to feed into the analysis algorithms for its predictive solution offers.
Stéphane Le Floch also explained to us that the main differences provided for the dedicated helicopter version of TracingNav were related to the "unusual counters" for the different specific cycles that helicopters have in relation to fixed-wing aircraft.
"We are still at the start of this adventure, but it's a world I know well", says Stéphane Le Floch who jointed Ixarys last September with a solid background of nearly three decades dedicated to the rotary wing world.
He also emphasises that the TracingFlight solutions were selected last year by ATR for its Prototype activity (with TracingNav) and by Derichebourg ATIS Aéronautique for aircraft transitions (with TracingNav and TracingDocs).
