Air France is changing the Boeing 777-300ERs used mainly on the Caribbean - Indian Ocean network (COI). The airline presented the new cabins which will be installed throughout 2020 on ten aircraft. They enteres regular service with the first reconfigured Triple Seven on 15th January between Paris (Orly) and Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France receiving it the next day. 120 million Euro has been invested in the refresh and redesigned programme.

The business class seats, which until now was laid out in 2-3-2 configuration, have been replaced by fourteen Optimas (Safran Seats) in accordance with 3F standards (full flat, full privacy and full access, in 1-2-1), demonstrating the increase in quality. These seats can be converted into flat beds nearly 2 metres in length and also have a predefined " relax" position. Air France has kept the storage compartment that the fleet's other planes have and has had 18.5 inch HD screens installed. The colours selected and the lighting ambiance which will be applied should give passengers an impression of understatement and calm.

Behind business class is a Premium Economy cabin which is losing four seats and is switching to 28 seats. The seats have been modified to provide more legroom and comfort, with new foam and new armrests. Measuring 48.8 cm in width, they have a fixed shell, can recline to 130° and have a 13.3 inch screen.

Economy class has been able to be expanded. It is keeping its ten-seat rows and is increasing from 422 to 430 seats. Here again, work has been carried out on the foam and head rests to improve comfort, the trays have been enlarged and the seats can recline to 118°. Each seat has an 11.6 inch screen.
The Air France Connect connectivity system has also been installed. The whole fleet should be fitted out by the end of the year.

The redesigned 777-300ER will be assigned to Guadeloupe and Martinique as priority, then to Réunion island (from this summer), Mauritius, Cancun, Havana, Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. Thanks to the new interior, the aircraft weight has been reduced by one tonne.
