AFI KLM E&M had a very successful Dubai Airshow. The MRO signed four contracts on 13th and 14th November.

The first one was signed by Gulf Air with EPCOR, an AFI KLM E&M subsidiary, which will be given the APU support for its future fleet of ten 787-9s. The contract covers the maintenance for this equipment and its replacement, where necessary. Gulf Air is used to working with AFI KLM E&M as the company provides equipment support for its A320s and A330s. For several years, AMES (another AFI KLM E&M subsidiary) and EPCOR have been offering nacelle and radome repairs, or APU support for Gulf Air's A330 fleet.

In addition, Kuwait Airways has entrusted to AFI KLM E&M with the maintenance of its fleet of GE90-115B engines on its ten 777-300ERs. This is a flying hour support agreement which covers removal management, workshop inspections and logistical/AOG support.

Air Arabia has tasked AFI KLM E&M with the maintenance of another type of engine, the CFM56-5B. The low-cost airline has signed a long-term complete engine support contract for its A320 fleet, covering both aircraft which are already in service (around fifty) and aircraft which will be delivered in the future.

Among the services included are workshop inspections, spare parts supply and under wing interventions. AFI KLM E&M will also be providing its Prognos for Engine solution to monitor engine performance in real time and detect any failures early.

Finally, Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) has joined forces with AFI KLM E&M to provide complete component support for Saudia's 787-9 fleet - 21 aircraft orderd. AFI KLM E&M will provide component maintenance and repair services, along with the related logistics, as well as access to its spares pools in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
