Boeing has decided to bring the Data analytics departments of its Commercial Airplanes, Defense and Services activities together within a new entity: AnalytX. This entity will then be home to the group's 800 experts who will analyse the data transmitted by the Boeing fleet worldwide to improve its services to customers, resolve their most urgent problems and open up their future possibilities.
Five new airlines have subscribed to this service. AirBridge Cargo has decided to use the fuel consumption management services. China Airlines has renewed a predictive maintenance contract for its fleet of 737NGs 747 cargo planes. Delta Air Lines has chosen to use the AHM (Airplane Health Management) programme for its fleet of 717s - the airline already uses it for its 737s, 747s, 767s and 777s. Korean Air will now be using it on its fleet of 787s and 777s. Finally, Turkish Airlines is planning to improve the safety of its fleet and the working conditions for their flight staff with Jeppesen's Fatigue Risk Management and Boeing Alertness Model (BAM) solutions.
