Bombardier signed several maintenance contracts at the Le Bourget airshow. LOT has signed a new SmartParts agreement, entrusting the aircraft manufacturer with component management for its Q400 fleet (10 aircraft. In addition, Jazz Technical Services is now an approved services establishment in Canada for Q Series and CRJ, and will provide its general servicing operations in Halifax. The aircraft manufacturer has also strengthened its strategic alliance with GKN Aerospace's Fokker division to expand the activities in its ABACUS programme to support CRJ (in addition to Q Series 100, 200 and 300) - the aim is to improve component availability and reduce repair and servicing costs. Finally, the Indian training company FSTC has signed a data usage agreement with Bombardier and has acquired a Q400 full flight simulator from FlightSafety International to train crews.
