Safran Helicopter Engines is announcing that it has won a 7-year support contract for German RTM322 engines. The contract, whose value has not been revealed, covers a range of engine maintenance operations for the army and navy versions of the German armed forces' NH90s.
In time, the German armed forces should have a fleet of one hundred NH90, with 82 TTHs and 18 NFHs. Forty seven army versions of the helicopters have already been delivered, while the first "Sea Lion" made its first flight last December and should be received by the German navy in 2019.
