Engineering Holding , an S7 Airlines subsidiary, has announced that it is going to double its MRO capacity regarding CFM56-5Bs and -7Bs by opening a new engine shop at Mineralnye Vody airport between now and the end of the year.
Their first repair shop, opened in May 2016 in Domodedovo, has taken in about fifty engines in ten months, the third of them being for heavy maintenance operations, while forecasts had predicted just 24 visits a year.
The maintenance company, the only one authorised in Russia and the CEI has had to turn down some contracts.
